Paul Evangelista
Measure Tech and Project Advisor
Involved in the stone industry since 1999 in and around Vancouver, Paul has seen many trends come and go. With a knowledge base, and some tricks up his sleeve that only comes from over 20 years of hands-on experience, Paul has seen it all. Splitting time as a fabricator and installer for the first five years, Paul eventually moved to the fabrication shop full time as lead sawyer and worked his way up to shop manager before moving into project management. Whether designing, cutting, fabricating, or installing, Paul has worked on jobs of all shapes and sizes.
With a keen interest in design, specifically book matching and one-of-a-kind pieces, Paul has worked on many complex multifaceted islands, custom bars, fireplaces of all styles, book matched floors with complex inserts, full wall cladding, and custom wall mosaic designs. Paul’s ability to think outside the box has resulted in many stunning finished projects. Just as comfortable discussing a small vanity replacement with first time homeowners, or a 300-unit high rise with the president of leading local developer, Paul believes all customers deserve to be treated as honestly and professionally as possible.
Prior to entering the stone business, Paul spent many years working in the local theatre scene. After two seasons with Theatre Under The Stars in Stanely Park, he was involved with Vancouver’s longest running stage production ever, Tony N Tina’s Wedding for most of the 14 years the production ran. He wore many hats both behind the scenes in support roles, and even more performing as a number of different characters for the audiences’ enjoyment. Paul also gave back to his community by volunteering with the Vancouver Technical Secondary School’s theatre department, Off Broadway Actor’s Studio, for 4 years. He received many compliments for his stage designs, while also directing the all-girl stage crew to the Best Stage Crew award at the 1998 Vancouver Highschool Drama Festival during that time.
